I’m delighted to welcome you to our new website with this blog post.
This has been a long time coming and, to be honest, it hasn’t been plain sailing to say the least! Tech projects are not for the faint of heart.
A Couple of Points to Note
Firstly, I would like to cover off some general housekeeping and let you know the following:
- Monogramming and Handwritten messaging – both of these services have been removed from the initial build of our new website but will return soon.
- Kids collection – this has been taken offline until some further development work is finished. These will be back live very soon after launch so please bear with us.
Why Change The Website?
The desire to change our website platform is part of a larger strategy that we pursue. You might recall from our About Us page that we are focused on protecting and creating jobs while ensuring our Team Members enjoy a healthy work/life balance. As part of this approach we don’t always aim just to grow as fast as we can, but rather pause regularly to invest in our people, processes and infrastructure. We call this our “Consolidate & Grow” strategy.
We are in our Consolidation phase right now, where our focus has been on how we can improve our infrastructure and processes. This has led to some really exciting initiatives led by the introduction of our new website built using Shopify Plus and our complete overhaul of our ERP system, both of which are going live this week!
The new website platform will give us more functionality and better performance, meaning that over the coming years we can better serve our customers, make processes easier for our Team Members and find ways to improve the presentation of our beautiful products. Taken together this should give you, our customer, an improved experience when visiting our site.
New functionality ready for you to enjoy includes:
- Improved search filters
- Shop the Look
- Paperless returns
- Easier to digest Size Guide
After the site has launched, settled down and we have introduced the services we had previously offered, the focus will move onto further enhancing the experience.
We can’t wait to launch the Shopify solution into our Retail stores meaning we will, for the first time, be able to offer you a singular experience across both sales channels with the introduction of services such as Click and Collect.
We’ll have many more improvements coming further down the line, but we’ll save those for another post, another time.
In the meantime I’d like to thank all our Team Members and partners who have worked so very hard to deliver both this new website and our new ERP system. Their enthusiasm, passion and energy has been remarkable and made these two projects far more enjoyable than we ever hoped. It took us quite some time to find the right partners, but it was worth the wait!
