Whatever the time of year, giving a gift to someone, be they family or friend, can be both challenging and rewarding. So choosing the right gift shows thoughtfulness and understanding.
Naturally you can find many wonderful gifts on our website and our Gift Guide is designed to make the process easier for you by segmenting gift ideas by size, general price points and the type of person you’re buying for, ranging from the Netflix Aficionado to the Jet Setter. We’re trying to help you find personalised gift ideas that are exactly what you’re looking for with a specific person in mind.
If you only buy one of these gifts and present it in our complimentary premium gift packaging you’re already onto a winner. But we think there is even more to gifting than this and we are always looking at ways in which we can make gifting more special.
It’s Nothing Personal…
Well, actually, it is exactly that. Making a gift more personal takes gifting to the next level. It shows another level of attention and transforms an already wonderful gift into a unique gift. For both the giver of the gift and the recipient, a more personalised approach elevates the experience of giving and receiving. Let’s not forget, that around the holiday season, personalised Christmas gift ideas will certainly come in handy!
What Makes A Gift Personal?
We’ve been thinking about different ways in which one can personalise gifts and have some exciting ideas in the pipeline. In the meantime, the most well-known approach to personalisation is monogramming. This is a way to initial gifts, so, for example, a monogrammed pyjama for Derek rose would have DR on the chest pocket. We think our products make for some of the best personalised gifts you’ll find anywhere.
Understanding the importance of monogramming to the world of gifting, we have built dedicated functionality on our website allowing you to choose your preferred font, colour and size. You can read more about our monogrammed gifts service here.
However, we have found another way to personalise a gift, which we call Gift Messaging. We love this option, available when purchasing any of our products online, as it takes gifting personalisation to another level. With our Gift Messaging you can simply type your gift message and our Customer Service Team will handwrite the message, neatly of course, on our high-quality Derek Rose gift stationary card. For the recipient of this gift it is a truly memorable experience to see and read a personal message on opening the box – people are often delightfully surprised.
What to Monogram?
We can’t and wouldn’t recommend monogramming all gift items. Some products lend themselves better to this service, especially when you bear in mind that we don’t simply put a product in a machine to personalise it. For example, if you want a monogrammed sleepwear gift such as a luxury cotton men’s pyjama, our seamstresses in our Cheshire Silk Studio will remove the pocket from the product, monogram it and then carefully sew the pocket back on.
To make finding the ideal monogrammed gift idea as easy as possible, we’ve created categories in our men’s women’s and, if you’re ordering in the UK, kid’s sections that show all the products that can be monogrammed. This way we are able to clearly offer personalised gifts for women, men and kids.
Finally, when thinking about gifting personalised gifts, don’t forget you can gift for more than one at a time – check out our family sets available for monogramming here.
Our Triton bathrobe is a customer favourite, it features a classic shawl collar and two side pockets for practicality while around the house. It's fastened with a fabric tie belt for the perfect fit.
A cut back yarn on the outside gives it the soft velour finish, with a rich and lustrous appearance, whilst the looped 'towelling' yarns inside are designed to maximise absorption of water and enhance the drying quality of this bathrobe. You'll be dry and comfortable in no time. We also offer this robe for women and, in the UK, Kids.
Made to a design first developed by Mr Derek Rose, the classic fit pyjama has been refined over decades for optimum comfort.
The intricate design features a repeated geometric version of our Rose logo which has been woven into the mid-weight fabric using a traditional jacquard technique to produce a layered and textured pattern.
Often mistaken for silk thanks to its beautifully soft touch and sheen, these pyjamas feel as great as they look. We love how the contrasting piping elevates the look.
A classic and ever popular pyjama set, our Plaza polka dot style is updated with a larger white dot for a fresh sleep style.
Made from our ultra-fine cotton batiste, a firm favourite of our customers for its breathability, lightweight properties and luxuriously soft feel.
A dream to lounge or sleep in, our lightweight PJ sets are perfect for taking on holiday, as they're not only comfortable in warm climates, but also light to pack and easy to carry.
Pair these with the matching eye mask to round off your gift package.
